Luigi Fortunato Ghirardello (Luigi) was appointed to the Board of Directors of Kenanga Futures Sdn Bhd (KF) as an Non-Independent Non-Executive Director on 28 October 2005. On 22 April 2010, Luigi was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of KF and subsequently, redesignated from Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman to Independent Non-Executive Chairman on 23 August 2011. On 29 July 2017, he was re-designated as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman in consequent to his re-designation as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director at Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad, the holding company of KF.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney, Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

Luigi was the Managing Director, Head of Global Finance – Asia Pacific for Deutsche Bank AG – Singapore Branch from May 2004 to March 2008. His role encompassed the management of Short-Term Interest Rate Trading in Asia, an integrated short-term trading unit combining foreign exchange and money market products. In addition, he was responsible for interest rate trading in money markets/ Repurchase Agreements and cash products, as well as liquidity management in Japan and Australia. He was also responsible for the regional Global Exchange Services platform in the Asia Pacific.

Prior to that, he was the Deputy Chairman of the Global Market Risk Committee, a member of the Banking Asset/ Liability Committee, as well as the Global Head of Money Markets Securities and Trading in London.

Before joining Deutsche Bank in 1995, he was an Associate Director and Trading Manager with Schroders Australia Ltd and held various senior positions at the National Australia Bank.

Ms Azila Abdul Aziz, is Chief Executive Officer / Executive Director & Head of Listed Derivatives at Kenanga Futures Sdn Bhd, a Listed Derivatives Brokerage Company based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Azila has been with company for more than 18 years and serves as the CEO since December 2012. An accomplished Executive equipped with leadership, management and entrepreneurship & intrapreneurship capabilities. Azila currently leads the overall running of the Listed Derivatives Broking Company that includes both in-bound & out-bound businesses overseeing the entire Front Office Sales to Back Office Operations. She sits on the Board of Kenanga Futures Sdn Bhd as an Executive Director, an appointed member of Senior Management Team for the Group Executive Committee and a member of several other committees within the Kenanga Group. Prior to joining Kenanga Futures Sdn Bhd, Azila held the position of Institutional Sales at RHB Securities Sdn Bhd from 1996 – 2000.  She was involved in sales role for both regional equities and futures markets with clientele base includes international institutions, banks, global hedge funds, domestic institutions, state funds and various asset management companies.

Azila holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Finance and a Diploma in Investment Analysis from Malaysia’s MARA University of Technology (UiTM). In addition to her present role in the company, Azila has diverse industrial participation where she has been appointed for various roles: President of Malaysia Futures Brokers’ Association (MFBA), Member on the FTSE Russell Bursa Malaysia Index Advisory Committee, Member of the Market Participants Committee (MPC), Principal Representative of the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Advisory Group, Committee member of the task force for Professional Certificate Investment and Finance (PCIF) program developed by PNB Investment Institute Sdn Bhd (PNBI/I) and an Associate Member of Palm Oil Refiners’ Association of Malaysia (PORAM).

Emmanuel, Dominique, Martial, Georges, Faure (Emmanuel) was appointed to the Board of Directors of Kenanga Futures Sdn Bhd as an Independent Non-Executive Director on 18 September 2017.

Emmanuel holds a Diplome Du Baccalaureat Serie D (secondary school leaving certificate) from Lycee du Vesinet, France and a Diplome ESCE (Secondary School of International Business equivalent to university with major in International Finance and Audit) from Ecole Superieur du commerce Exterieur, Paris, France.

He has around twenty-four (24) years of experience in the financial industry in Asia, of which more than twenty (20) years are in senior executive positions in European/ US financial firms. He is widely regarded as a specialist of Cash Equity, Derivatives, Futures & Options and FX market among his peers.

He is currently a Senior Executive at Ned Davis Research, a US Independent Research company which forms part of Euromoney Group. He is in charge of the development of the firm in APAC. Prior to joining Ned Davis Research, he was formerly a member of the Management Committee and Senior Advisor heading Asia Operations for GEREJE Corporate Finance, a Euro-Asian M&A firm with a “boutique” culture providing strategic and financial advisory services from 2016 to 2017.

Emmanuel started his career as a Trader in Credit Commerciale De France (Now known as HSBC France) from January 1993 to July 1993 before progressing as a Broker in Fimat SNC from August 1993 to October 1993. Subsequently, he joined Societe Generale Tokyo and held the position of Assistant Manager on the Japanese Government Bond Futures & Options (JGB) desk from 1993 to 1994 and Manager in charge of fixed income & equity, futures, options and over-the-counter desk on the Japanese market from 1995 to 1996. He then ventured into the brokerage business as the Deputy General Manager, Brokerage Department in Societe Generale Securities North Pacific from 1997 to 1999. Over the years, Emmanuel had held various roles as Chief Executive Officer Asia ex-Japan in Fimat Hong Kong Ltd from 1999 to 2007, Managing Director, Head of Futures & Option, Asia Pacific in Newedge Broker Hong Kong Ltd in 2008, Head of Business Development and Sales, Asia Pacific in HSBC Futures Singapore, Hong Kong Branch from 2009 to 2011 and Managing Director, Head of Asia in Jefferies Hong Kong Ltd from 2011 to 2015.

Sree Kumar A/L C K Nayar (Sree Kumar) was appointed to the Board of Directors of Kenanga Futures Sdn Bhd as an Independent Non-Executive Director on 12 October 2017.

Sree Kumar receives his Bachelor of Commerce (1978) from University of Madras, India.

He was appointed as Markets Lead Specialist (Derivatives) of Tadawul, the sole entity authorised to act as the Securities Exchange in Saudi Arabia on 15 January 2018 and is currently designated as the Acting Chief Derivatives Officer of Tadawul with effect from 9 December 2018.

Sree Kumar had been involved extensively in derivatives and money markets for more than thirty (30) years. Most of his professional experience had been focused on managing change and innovation, as well as achieving growth and volume records for Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad (“Bursa Derivatives”). During his tenure in Bursa Derivatives since 2001, he had held various positions as Acting Chief Executive Officer from 2015 to 2017 and subsequently, as Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer on various strategic initiatives of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange) and clearing house.  Prior to his career in Bursa Derivatives, he served as General Manager in KAF, Astley & Pearce Sdn Bhd (International Money Broking Firm) from 1980 to 1995 and as Executive Director in KAF-Refco (Futures Commission Merchant) from 1995 to 2001.

Vaithiyanathan Madavan (“Vaithiyanathan”) was appointed to the Board of Directors of Kenanga Futures Sdn Bhd (“KF”) as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director on 1 January 2021.

Vaithiyanathan is currently the Head of Group Operations of Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad (“KIBB”), the holding company of KF and is a Director of several KIBB’s subsidiaries.

Vaithiyanathan is a Chartered Accountant (Malaysia) and a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK). He joined KIBB in 2017, as the Head of Group Compliance before assuming his current role at Group Operations.

Prior to joining KIBB, he was attached to Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia”), where he held senior positions in regulating the activities of both securities and derivatives market participants. His last position in Bursa Malaysia was Head of Equity Surveillance. Prior to that, he was Bursa Malaysia’s Head of Intermediaries Supervision.

He was also extensively involved in the developmental initiatives to shape the capital market industry and had also served as a member of the Securities Industry Development Corporation’s review committee for the qualifying examinations of licensed representatives.
